Jana Sibera und Joseph Dennis sprechen über die Oper Kleider machen Leute

Joseph Dennis, born in California, has found his second home in Dallas, Texas. Graduated from Juilliard School, he became one of five winners of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2015. After his engagement at the Staatsoper Wien, he decided to settle in Dresden and became a soloist with an equally prestigious Semper Oper. He is making his house debut with the Opera of the National Theatre and the State Opera in Prague with the title role of Krejčík aka Count Wenzel Strapinski.

Jana Sibera, the soloist with the Opera of the National Theatre and the Thalia Award 2022 winner for her role of Manon in Jules Massenet’s opera of the same name counts among the most popular and frequently cast Czech singers. As the finalist in the Barbara Hendricks International Singing Competition in Strasbourg, she collaborated with tenor Jonas Kaufmann on his profile CD “Romantic Arias” with Decca Records. In the lovely musical opera Kleider machen Leute, she plays Nettchen, the daughter of the town councillor of Goldach, who falls for the mysterious, romantic-looking stranger Wenzel Strapinski.
