Erwin Schulhoff's Flammen nominated for the International Opera Award

The production of the reconstructed Czech version of Erwin Schulhoff's opera Flammen, presented by the National Theatre Opera and the State Opera in June 2022 as part of the Musica non grata project, has been nominated for the International Opera Award 2022 in the "Rediscovered Work" category, in the excellent company of productions by Frankfurt Opera, Odyssey Opera, Theater Dortmund, Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Glyndebourne Festival. The results will be announced on 28 November at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Congratulations to everyone involved in this impressive production! The last two performances at the State Opera on 17 and 26 November and at the Janáček Theatre in Brno on 20 November as part of the Janáček – Brno Festival 2022.
