From 14 to 17 August, the third edition of the Terezín Music Academy will take place in Terezín, Litoměřice and Prague within the Musica non grata project. The highlight is a performance of a concert version of the 1910 operetta Die Dorfkomtesse (The Village Countess) by the Dutch composer Rachel Danziger van Embden, who was persecuted by the Nazis. The piece will return to the stage more than a century after its world premiere. Just like in the previous years, the Terezín Music Academy will include the Conference of the Terezín Composers Institute, as well as music workshops for pupils of the Litoměřice Music School, led by the composer and pianist Jan Dušek. The Academy will culminate with a concert at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague. Most events are free for the public.
